Caption: Zebra stripes. Stripes on the side of a zebra (Equus sp.). The stripes may act as camouflage, making it harder for predators to pick out an individual zebra from the herds in which they live. Zebras are wild horses that eat grass, leaves and shoots. They are found on grassy plains in eastern and southern Africa.
