Caption: Eland antelopes (Taurotragus oryx) sparring. Males decide their ranking by sparring. In the wild, herds of eland have one dominant male and other males form bachelor herds. The eland is found in open country in East Africa in herds of twenty or more. It prefers a diet of acacia leaves but it will also graze on grass and dig for roots and bulbs.
