Caption: Red hartebeests (Alcelaphus caama). These antelopes stand 1.5 metres tall at the shoulder and can weigh up to 200 kilograms each. Red hartebeests live in open forests and grasslands and feed mainly upon grass. Their name derives from the distinctive heart shape formed by the curve of their horns when viewed from the front. Photographed at Etosha National Park, Namibia.
