Caption: World's tallest buildings. Computer artwork of a city skyline composed of some of the tallest man-made structures in the world. These include the Turning Torso (Malmo, Sweden, bottom right), Taipei 101 (Taipei, Taiwan, stacked blocks at right), Petronas Towers (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, centre), 30 St Mary Axe (the 'Guerkin', London, UK, fron centre right), Burj Khalifa (Dubai, UAE, tallest tower), and the Oriental Pearl Tower (Shanghai, China, with pink balls). To the left of the Petronas Towers is the Russia Tower, and to their right is the Chicago Spire. Construction was started on both these towers, but both were cancelled due to the 2008 credit crisis.
