Caption: Ancient Greek sarcophagus, 3D laser image. 3-dimensional image generated by a laser scanner of the sarcophagus of an ancient Greek athlete. The scanner produces a precise spatial representation of the object's size and shape. This artefact dates from around the 6th Century BC and was found in Taranto, which used to be a Greek colony but is now in Southern Italy. Photographed at the National Archaeological Museum of Taranto, Italy, and dates from the 5th Century BC.
