It was designed by Pete Redmond and holds the world record of 64 seconds, however this includes the time taken to pick up and scan the cube. It's average time to actually solve the puzzle is around 35 seconds. The current human record is 7.08 seconds (as of 2010), while good 'speedcubers' can solve it in around 20 seconds.
