Caption: Web-footed gecko (Pachydactylus rangei), formerly known as Palmatogecko rangei. This gecko lives underground in the sand dunes of the Namib Desert of Namibia and Angola. It is sensitive to heat and only emerges after dark, remaining active until dawn hunting small insects and arachnids. It is preyed on by several spiders and the sidewinding adder.
