Caption: Desert-adapted elephants. These African elephants (Loxodonta africana) are adapted to living in desert areas of Namibia and Angola. This is an 'elephant caravan' with elephants walking purposefully in single file as the herd moves from a dry riverbed into the desert, in order to reach a feeding area some distance away. Photographed in the Hoanib Riverbed, Damaraland, Namibia.
