Caption: Seqenenre Tao II mummy. Mummified remains of the Egyptian Pharaoh Seqenenre Tao II (1301-1235 BC) in a climate-controlled display case. Seqenenre Tao II ruled over the last of the local kingdoms of the Theban region of Egypt in the 17th dynasty. It is uncertain when he reigned but thought that he rose to power around 1560 or 1558 BC and ruled for only a few years. Photographed in the Royal Mummy Hall of the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, Cairo, Egypt.
