Caption: Air-dried mummified cat. Museum specimen of the dried body of a cat found during the demolishing of property on the Duke of Bedford's estate and presented to the museum in May 1915. The cat is thought to be approximately 300 years old and had been buried in an air-tight brick-lined cavity. This specimen is part of a collection held at the Natural History Museum, London, UK.
