Caption: Throat tissue. Fluorescence deconvolution micrograph of a section through throat tissue. This tissue sample shows a serous gland and the oesophagus. The oesophagus is the tube down which food passes from the mouth to the stomach. Serous glands secrete digestive enzymes. Cellular proteins are highlighted with fluorescent markers: g-actin (red), f-actin (green) and smooth muscle actin (blue).
