Caption: Animation showing the Lynx Arc (red and white) being gravitationally lensed by a massive cluster of galaxies between it and Earth. The Arc appears as a red smear from Earth, and is only visible thanks to the lensing effect. It is the largest, brightest and hottest starbirth region ever found, containing a million hot blue stars. The cluster existed when the universe was only two billion years old.
