Caption: Blue-ringed octopus (Hapalochlaena lunulata) swimming over the seabed. This is a small octopus, only reaching 10 centimetres in diameter, but its bite contains the deadly venom tetrodotoxin, which can kill a human in minutes. The prominent blue rings that give the species its name are only displayed when it is threatened. The rest of the time, it changes its colour to hide amongst its surroundings. Filmed in the Lembeh Strait, Sulawesi, Indonesia
