Caption: Thorny seahorse (Hippocampus histrix) swimming across a sandy seabed, not noticing the buried flounder (Bothus sp.) until its surprise attack. The tough and thorny outer skin of the seahorse makes it distinctly unpalatable, however. The flounder quickly realises it is not a good meal and swims away, leaving the seahorse to continue its journey. Filmed in Sulawesi, Indonesia.
