Caption: Funerary bundle head, Chancay Imperial Epoch (1300 AD–1532 AD). This head is buried with the deceased to transform them into a communal ancestor. This artefact is on display in the Larco Museum, a privately owned museum of pre-Columbian art, located in the Pueblo Libre District of Lima, Peru. It showcases one of the world's largest collections of pre-Columbian art including Moche, Nazca, Chimu, and Inca pieces.
