Caption: Phobos, Martian moon. This image was obtained on 9 January 2011 by the European Space Agency's Mars Express spacecraft. Mars Express arrived at Mars in December 2003. Phobos, the larger of the two Martian moons, is irregular in shape, measuring 19x21x27 kilometres. It orbits 9400 kilometres above Mars, taking just over 7.6 hours to complete an orbit.
