Caption: Martian volcanoes, Mars Express colour-coded elevation model. This image was created using a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) with elevation colour-coded from purple (lowest elevations) through blue, green, yellow and red to beige and white (highest elevations). The data was obtained by the High-Resolution Stereo Camera (HRSC) on Mars Express, between 25 November 2004 and 22 June 2006 during orbits number 1096, 1107 and 3144. Mars Express is a European Space Agency spacecraft that has been orbiting Mars since December 2003.
