Caption: Basket star (Gorgonocephalus chilensis). Basket stars are a group of brittle stars. Brittle stars are related to starfish but, unlike starfish, they can crawl across the sea floor using their flexible arms. This specimen was found at a depth of 500 metres, on the Bellingshausen Sea continental shelf, Antarctica.
