Caption: Brazilian marmoset. 18th-century journal page illustrating a marmoset (a very small monkey, this one have a body length of only around 20 centimetres) that was brought to England from Brazil. This illustration was made by the English physician James Parsons (1705-1770). This page is from volume 47 (1751-2) of the journal 'Philosophical Transactions', published by the Royal Society of London. Parsons was elected a Fellow of the Society in 1741.
