Anti-poaching patrol. Group of armed men patrolling a forest in the Congo Basin to prevent poaching of wildlife. Access along logging roads has allowed less skilled hunters with weapons to compete with locals who use traditional hunting methods. This can result in the indiscriminate hunting of endangered species for the bushmeat trade. In protected areas, subsistence hunting is allowed, but commercial hunting is banned. Photographed in Dzanga-Sangha National Park, in the Central African Republic.
