Angela C. Milner, British palaeontologist, holding a Spinosaurus jaw bone from the Natural History Museum, London, UK. Milner worked here for over 30 years from 1976 to her retirement in 2010. One of the major projects she led was the excavation near Dorking in 1983 of the fossils of a previously unknown dinosaur, Baryonyx walkeri. Expeditions abroad included countries such as China and Niger. She also worked on museum exhibitions. The specimen shown here, Spinosaurus, lived during the Late Cretaceous period (95-80 million years ago).
