Caption: Pregnant Ichthyosaur (Stenopterygius quadriscissus) fossil. This Ichthyosaur has been preserved with the skeletons of unborn young inside. A fourth may have just been born - its skeleton can be seen below the tail. Ichthyosaurs were marine reptiles. This specimen lived between 187 and 178 million years ago.
