Caption: Wandering spider (Ctenidae) with eggs on a leaf. The egg sac, spun from spider silk, is the white object attached to the spider's rear. Such sacs can contain thousands of eggs, and the spider will protect it until the eggs hatch. Ctenids are large nocturnal hunting spiders that are found in tropical regions, feeding on other invertebrates. Photographed in Ecuador.
