Caption: The Freshwater Barracuda (Acestrorhynchus species) is known in the Peruvian Amazon as 'Pez Perro' or 'Pez Cachorro.' They are fish eaters and attain a size big enough so that people eat them. Their teeth are specialized for the capture and handling of fish. These fish are often exported for the aquarium trade. This specimen was photographed in the Peruvian Amazon 2010.
