A range of these batteries is undergoing research by MSc research student Yue Wu at The University of Southampton, UK, as an energy storage device for photovoltaic systems. The battery has been found to have a higher energy efficiency than lead acid batteries, with a lower weight, greater safety & stability and a longer life-span.
