Caption: Tropical cockroach. This cockroach has two spots (orange) either side of its head. It could be mimicking a luminous click beetle, which is a similar size. The antennae are at lower right. Cockroaches are an order of insects found worldwide. They are generally omnivorous, eating both plant and animal matter. The largest cockroaches, found in the tropics, can reach several centimetres in length. Photographed in Ecuador.
