Caption: Wilson's storm petrel (Oceanites oceanicus). This seabird spends most of the year at sea in the southern hemisphere, feeding in flight on plankton at the water's surface. It breeds on Antarctic islands during the southern summer, and moves northwards into the northern hemisphere to avoid the southern winter. It is a small bird, with a body length of around 16 centimetres and a wingspan of around 40 centimetres. Photographed in March, in South Georgia.
