Caption: CyberDome 3D image. CyberDome is a film set in the form of a large cylinder several metres in diameter. This CyberDome, in Reunion Island, is 15 metres across. It is a motion capture system that allows animated cartoon characters and 3D objects to be constructed from an array of cameras that capture a person's movements. CyberDome was developed in 1999 by the French company XD Productions, with the Reunion site installed in 2007. This cartoon design (of the character Pinocchio) is from the Pipangai studio. Photographed in 2010.
