Caption: Archaeology. Metal artefact, thought to be part of a horse's harness, excavated at a site near the Russian town of Chernyshyov. This site is thought to date back to the 4th century BCE and was a settlement of the Maeotae people. This was a group of possibly Indo-Aryan descent that lived around the Palus Maeotis (Sea of Azov). Photographed in 1988.
