Caption: Pavel Petrovich Blonsky (1884-1941), Ukrainian-born Soviet psychologist. Blonsky was a pioneer of behaviourism, the idea that all of our actions and thoughts are behaviours than can be studied and, where needed, altered. In the 1930s he was heavily criticised for his use of psychological testing in the young, as this ran contrary to the Marxist-socialist dogma that all are created equal.
