Pinchot, or redberry juniper, Juniperus pinchotii, is a common small tree of poor and rocky soils from the western half of TX north into Oklahoma. Unlike most other junipers that have bluish berries those of this species are orange-red. Junipers are often incorrectly called cedars. Photo Hardemann Co., TX.
