Urinite is a radioactive mineral that is an oxide of uranium, often with oxides of lead thorium and rare earth elements included, and is often referred to as pitchblende. It is an important ore of uranium and is mostly mined in Congo, South Africa, Australia and Canada. This sample is from the Panda mine, Likasi, Katanga, Congo.
