Caption: Orion spacecraft. Animation of the final rocket stage being used to reach Earth orbit during a test flight of the Orion spacecraft. This manned spacecraft is being developed by NASA, the US space agency. It is designed to be launched using a Delta IV Heavy rocket. This animation shows the rocket's second stage (Delta Cryogenic Second Stage, DCSS) boosting it from suborbital levels to full Earth orbit. The first Orion test flights are proposed for 2014. For different stages in an Orion test flight, see clips K003/2141-2144.
