Beef cattle farming. Limousin cow with her calf in a field. This beef cow is a breed of the domesticated cow (Bos taurus) from the Limousin region of France. It is reared in both Europe and the USA for its meat. These cows are being raised on the Mains of Burnbank farm, Blairdrummond, Stirling, Scotland. The farm consists of a flock of 1000 sheep (ewes) who follow the pedigree Limousin herd of 100 cows on a rotational grazing system. This farm is run by the Graham family, who were finalists in the 'Sheep Farmer of the Year' category in the 2011 Farmers Weekly Awards.
