Caption: Digitalis viridiflora, 19th-century botanical artwork. This engraving of a foxglove plant is by Austrian botanical illustrator Ferdinand Bauer (1760-1826). Based on his own watercolour, now in the Royal Horticultural Society, it was originally published in 'Digitalium monographia' (1821).
