Caption: Dentistry school. 19th-century artwork of a dentist holding a portable battery and directing his assistant during a dental operation. This dental school is in Paris, France. This woodcut dates from around 1871, though a similar work appeared in the tenth volume (second period of 1892) of the French popular science weekly 'La Science Illustree'. The artist (signature at lower left) is Louis Finayre.
