Caption: Chemical warfare. A series of images allegedly depicting children with numerous birth defects caused by the use of chemical weapons during the Vietnam War. US forces made extensive use of various chemicals, particularly defoliants, during the Vietnam War of 1955-75. Vietnamese estimate suggest 4 million civilians suffered dioxin poisoning as a result. Some doubt has been cast on the accuracy of one or two of the images here. Published in 1983.
