Caption: Boris Yegorov (1937-1994). Russian-Soviet cosmonaut and physician Boris Mikhailovich Yegorov onboard the Voskhod-1 spacecraft. Yegorov was selected to fly on the Voskhod-1 mission of 12-13 October 1964. This was the first space mission with more than one occupant. Yegorov with cosmonauts Komarov and Feoktistov were so packed into their tiny capsule that they didn't have room to wear a space suit. In later years Yegorov worked as a doctor, with research interests in the mechanism of balance.
