Caption: Trams on the Jerusalem Light Rail. This light rail network was constructed between 2002 and 2010. It began operating in 2011, with the first line serving 23 stops over a distance of around 14 kilometres. The trams run on embedded rails and are powered by electricity from overhead power lines. The trams (two here) are 5-unit low-floor Citadis 302 trams from the French company Alstom. Photographed in March 2012.
