Tuberculosis (TB) information leaflets. TB is an infection by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It usually infects the lungs and can cause severe scarring. Infections can be diagnosed and treated at dedicated clinics. If a TB infection is not completely eradicated, then drug-resistant forms can develop.
