Caption: Dodge Brothers automobile factory. Workers operating machinery in the pressed steel building of the Dodge Brothers Motor Car Company factory in Hamtramck, Wayne County, Michigan, USA. This car factory was founded in 1910 by US automobile manufacturing pioneers Horace Elgin Dodge (1868-1920) and John Francis Dodge (1864-1920). From 1903 to 1913, the Dodge brothers supplied parts for the Ford Motor Company, before developing their own designs, supplying vehicles for the US military during World War I. Photographed in 1915. This photograph is part of the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS).
