Caption: Skeleton Cast of Struthiomimus altus. This is one of the most complete skeletons of an ornithomimid, or bird-like dinosaur. The original is on display in New York City and was collected in Dinosaur Provincial Park. The striking pose results from the drying out of ligaments and muscles along the backbone after death. As they dry they pull the head back and the tail forward. Royal Tyrrell Museum, Drumheller, Alberta, Canada.
