Anthropological models based on fossils from the human evolutionary tree. Standing, left to right, are: Homo ergaster, Homo georgicus (male), group of Neanderthals (Homo neanderthalensis) including a child, Homo georgicus (female, throwing stone), Homo floresiensis (holding bamboo spear), Lucien and Lucy (Australopithecus afarensis), Cro-Magnon hunter (throwing spear), a group of three heads (Paranthropus boisei, Sahelanthropus tchadensis, Australopithecus africanus), a male and female Neanderthal. Crouched at lower left is a female Homo habilis. Reconstructions by Elisabeth Daynes, Daynes Studio, Paris, France.
