Caption: SpaceX Dragon capsule in orbit. Dragon un-manned partially reusable spacecraft attached to the Canadarm2 robotic arm of the International Space Station (ISS) in orbit around the Earth. The Dragon capsule was designed and manufactured by the private space transportation company SpaceX under the NASA COTS (Commercial Orbital Transportation Services) initiative, set up to encourage private companies to ship cargo to the ISS after the retirement of the shuttle program in 2011. On 25th May 2012 Dragon became the first commercial spacecraft to successfully rendezvous with and be attached to the ISS. Photographed on 25th May 2012.
