Caption: Flooding due to Hurricane Isaac. Sea water from a storm surge flooding a coastal road during Hurricane Isaac. This Category 1 hurricane lasted from 21 August to 1 September 2012. Earlier, as a strong tropical storm, it had caused damage and deaths in the Caribbean. It strengthened as it passed across the Gulf of Mexico, making landfall as a hurricane on the US mainland on 28 August on the coast of Louisiana. It produced a large storm surge and several fatalities. Photographed on 29 August 2012, on Highway 90 in Biloxi, Mississippi, USA.
