TrkA is also known as neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor type 1. The interaction of both these molecules plays a key role in differentiation of nerve cells. Here, the extracellular segment of TrkA is shown (blue and green), binding either side of the neurotrophin (NGF, orange and purple).
