Phototherapy. A group of children receiving light therapy (phototherapy). A combination of fluorescent and incandescent lamps are being used. Full-body phototherapy can be used to supplement Vitamin D production in regions that receive little sunlight and can be used to treat seasonal affective disorder. Lamps have to be carefully shielded to prevent excessive exposure to ultraviolet light. Photographed at Cherskii in Yakutia, Russia, in 1981.
