Caption: Sausage tree flowers (Kigelia africana). These are bell-shaped, around 10 centimetres wide, and hang downwards. When fertilised, the flowers develop into a fruit (see B790/852). This tree occurs throughout tropical Africa. The flowers are pollinated by bats. Photographed in Kruger National Park, South Africa.
