Caption: Glioma brain tumour. Sequence of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) axial scans showing the internal structure in the head of a 44-year-old woman with a high-grade glioma. The front of the head is at top in this view from below, and the sequence moves through the head from bottom to top. A glioma is a tumour that arises from the supportive glial cells of the brain or spine. This tumour is located in the middle of the right frontal lobe, which is towards the front and top of the brain, at upper left in this view. The tumour appears briefly towards the end of the clip, as a light grey mass at upper left. Symptoms reported by the patient included an increasing number of headaches and personality changes.
