At centre right is Bristol Cathedral as it was prior to 1868. The new western nave (built from 1868 to 1877) and western twin towers (completed 1888) have not yet been built. At far right are sailing ships and docks on the River Avon. At left are church spires and towers, with countryside and fields in the distance. This artwork, engraved by Hill, is by Charles Augustus Pugin.
